ISO-POX® HCSA8000-W2
• flame retardant according to UL94 V-0
• hot curing
ISO-POX® HCSA8000-W2 is a three-component, heat-curing, mineral-filled, solvent-free casting resin designed for the encapsulation of electrical components. Due to its heat-curing nature, the product offers a processing time ranging from several hours to days after mixing.
The casting compound has passed flame retardancy tests according to UL94 V-0 (6 mm) and is therefore particularly suitable for casting electrical components tested according to UL standards. The cured material exhibits excellent temperature resistance, meeting at least temperature class F requirements.
Suitable for use in film capacitors, the material passes the THB test (Temperature Humidity Bias Test) conducted at 85 °C and 85 % humidity for 1,000 hours under voltage in accordance with IEC 60384/AEC-Q200 standards.
Coatings and molded parts made from ISO-POX® HCSA8000-W2 form tack-free, scratch-resistant surfaces. The cured material offers good corrosion protection and strong adhesion to metal, ceramic, and many plastics.
The product is compliant according to EU Directives 2011/65/EU (“RoHS”) and 2015/863/EU („RoHS III“).

Storage and transport
Store in a dry and airtight, closed container at 20 – 30 °C. Partial crystallisation may occur at lower storage temperatures. Can be stored for at least 12 months in original sealed containers under the above conditions. Short-term deviations during transport and storage are acceptable.
Cleaning
To ensure a good adhesion of the cast resin the customer should individually test the suitability of the involved surfaces. Possible pre-treatments like cleaning, activation processes (plasma process) etc. should also be taken into account. The contact surfaces should be free of contaminations such as dust, grease or water. For cleaning we recommend ISO-RC® Degreaser for wipe degreasing or ISO-RC® Flux-Off + ISO-RC® Spraywash for spray degreasing (available in 400 ml spray cans).
Processing
Manual casting:
Due to the tendency of filled casting resins to settle, the material must be stirred before being removed from the original container to prevent inhomogeneities and incorrect mixing ratios.
In the case of partial crystallisation, heat the material to approximately 50 °C until all crystalline areas have disappeared. Then weigh out the resin and hardener according to the specified mixing ratio, mix for approximately 3 minutes while stirring slowly and the mixture.
Machine casting:
A resin storage tank with an agitator is required. ISO-RC® HP89-5 Cold Cleaner is suitable for cleaning the agitator.
Applicable statutory occupational health and safety regulations must be observed.
